Restaurants face numerous Challenges to get back into business after Harvey

Hurricane Harvey has left a lasting impact on Houston. Houston Restaurants are trying to get back into business to function normally after ten days of disaster. Recovery of business is going to take time; the hospitality industry is facing numerous challenges in day to day operations so what future holds is still not clear.

Each and Every eatery is working under its own set of circumstances. Some restaurants were damaged some are not. Many workers have been affected by this calamity. Still there are supply issues, with a priority being placed on feeding Evacuees in shelter and for those in need.

There’s a possibility that many of them won’t be focusing on spending extra dollars in dinning out while still struggling to rebuild their lives. Business will not be steady and there are restaurants that are not opened yet. And some kitchens are still devoting themselves in feeding first responders and Evacuees.

Overall this is an uneasy situation that could be only dealt slowly. Some restaurants are planning to donate half of their proceeds to benefit Harvey Relief.
